Busy, Busy Month!

It is JUNE. The year is half over. I’ll let that sink in for a second.
Not only is the year half over, we’re less than a month away from the 1st day of summer. I am officially fully defrosted from winter and READY TO GO. There is so much planned for this month and I’ve probably bitten off more than I can chew, but those of you who know me personally, know I definitely did and am already spiraling with regret HAHAHA.
For starters, I have a full day of Pokemon Flash planned. This Saturday, June 6th from 12pm to 8pm! Most of the day has already been reserved but I’ve got a few small little stubborn time slots I can’t seem to fill, which figures because it’s right around when people are leaving work so you are all forgiven haha. Okay, I’m sure you’re thinking “why now?” “why not during the holidays?” And the real reason is…
I am so sick of you guys shaming me about it HAHAHA!
But no seriously it was just time. I had them when I first opened the studio but the demand for them wasn’t that high and they weren’t the right fit yet since I was still establishing the style of work I specialized in and so lots of people were purchasing the gift cards misguided and with an inaccurate perception of the services I offered. And a lot of that is on me. I’m figuring a lot of this out in real time and that can carry a lot of bumps and mistakes and I get to do all of this in front of you which is not always going to be good or graceful haha.
For example, I had lots of well-intentioned people gifting them to loved ones without realizing the person they were getting the gift card for was someone who gets exclusively american traditional tattoos, or say full color new school style work, etc. Which are things I don’t really do these days. So this eventually led me to pulling the plug on them. But that was 6 years ago. God, SIX YEARS already. A lot has happened in that amount of time. I’ve grown and changed and the studio has grown and changed. I get asked for gift cards ALL the time now and I’m interpreting that as a sign of growth. People are starting to recognize my strengths and the exclusion of my work style is starting to pull in the right audience. You guys are noticing. So the time has come now, I’ve heard your cries, and I’m ready to bring them back! And they will stay as long as they are serving all of us!
I will announce when they are live and ready to grab!
