appointment prep

How Do I Prepare For My Tattoo?

- Be sure to get a good night’s rest before your appointment

- Hydrate as best you can the days leading up to it

- If you’re a morning-coffee person, avoid caffeine intake at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, if possible, unless you have withdrawal symptoms that make you ill.

- Bonus points if you gently exfoliate your skin a few days prior and apply moisturizer on the days leading up to your appointment!

- NO: alcohol, recreational drugs, blood-thinners, tanning, spray tanning, numbing cream, or shaving the area (I do that part for you) prior to your appointment.

- If you take any blood-thinning medications, consult your doctor to be sure it’s safe for you to skip them 24 hours prior to your appointment

- If you have any pre-existing conditions, consult your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to get tattooed. -If you have any rashes, hives or open wounds on or near the area you plan to get tattooed, kindly inform me asap so I can make the best decision as to whether rescheduling is necessary or not

Feel free to bring any games or books to keep you occupied if you’d like. Closable food and drinks are also welcome.
